On November 13, 2023, the Korean Internet Security Agency (KISA) announced that, on November 9, 2023, it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Romanian National Cyber Security Agency (DNSC) to the end of facilitating mutual collaboration for responding to cyber threats. In particular, KISA explained that the MoU will permit the organizations to cooperate on their responses to cybersecurity threats by strengthening cybersecurity capabilities, exchanging manpower between the organizations, and sharing best practices for cybersecurity policies.
Additionally, KISA noted that it and the DNSC had cooperated in the past with a previous agreement that also facilitated manpower exchange and the exchange of information related to cybersecurity breaches. Due to the DNSC's absorption of the Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO), the previous agreement was terminated and replaced by the MoU.
